DOMAIN
IS THE
DIFFERENCE.

Vertical SaaS is domain software. The engineering has to match.

Healthcare incident reporting. Horse breeding analytics. Local government infrastructure. Fleet management. What separates a good engineering team in vertical SaaS from a generic one isn't the technology stack — it's domain comprehension.

An engineer who doesn't understand a nurse's 3am incident workflow will rebuild that module four times and still ship it wrong. An engineer who spent two weeks shadowing the compliance team will ship it once and not touch it for eighteen months.

This is not a soft skill. It is the most important engineering skill in vertical markets — and the one most hiring processes never test for.

HOW WE
BUILD FOR
VERTICAL.

Domain before code.

Every Akvasoft engagement starts with an ICP comprehension check. Before writing a line of code for a new feature, every engineer on the team must answer three questions fluently: who is the primary user, what is the worst thing that happens when this feature fails them, and what do they do today without it. If they can't answer — they don't code yet.

The Mini SaaS Program.

Every Akvasoft engineer builds and launches a real SaaS product before joining a client team. They pick a customer segment, talk to users, ship an MVP, handle support tickets, and live with the consequences of their own architecture. When they arrive on your product, they already know what it costs to misunderstand the customer.

Long-term or nothing.

Vertical SaaS domain knowledge takes months to accumulate. Akvasoft accepts only two long-term partnerships per year precisely because the value compounds over time — not per sprint. The team that's inside your codebase in year three is worth ten times the team that showed up in month one.
